TheraFit ("TheraFit," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Oleavine. This Privacy Policy explains what information the TheraFit iOS app ("the App") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this Policy.

We take privacy seriously because TheraFit handles sensitive health and body data. We collect only what we need to provide the App's features.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email). We do not receive your Apple ID password.

Profile information. Details you provide to set up your plan, including sex, height, weight, age/birth year, and training experience.

Body scan and health data. To build your 3D avatar and estimate your body composition, the App guides you through a body scan. During the scan, photos are captured and processed by our scanning provider (Bodygram) to generate body measurements, an estimated body-fat percentage, and a 3D body model. Scan photos are used only to compute these results and are not stored by TheraFit. We store the resulting measurements, body-fat estimate, body model, and the goals and physique targets you set.

Fitness and activity data. Workouts, logged sets and weights, check-ins, strength history, and your training and nutrition plans.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to TheraFit Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status and transaction identifiers from Apple to manage your access. We never receive or store your full payment card details.

Device and diagnostic data. Basic technical data such as app version, device type, and crash or performance logs used to keep the App working.

Permissions. The App requests Camera (to perform the body scan), Motion & Fitness (to help level your device for an accurate scan), and Microphone (used only for the scanner's in-scan audio guidance). You can manage these in your device Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create your 3D avatar and estimate body composition;
  • Generate and adapt your personalized training and nutrition plans;
  • Track your progress over time and provide check-ins;
  • Manage your account, subscription, and access to Pro features;
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App;
  • Communicate with you about your account or support requests;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. How Scanning and Plan Generation Work (Third-Party Processors)

To provide core features, we share limited data with service providers that process it on our behalf:

  • Bodygram — processes your scan photos to produce body measurements and composition. Photos are handled by Bodygram to generate results; see Bodygram's privacy policy for details.
  • Apple — provides Sign in with Apple and processes subscription purchases.
  • AI plan personalization (Anthropic) — we use a third-party AI service to help generate personalized plan guidance. We limit what we share to the information needed for this purpose (such as your goals and measurements) and do not share your name or contact details.
  • Cloud hosting (Railway) — our backend and database are hosted with a cloud infrastructure provider that stores your data securely on our behalf.

These providers are permitted to use your data only to perform services for us.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only:

  • With the service providers described above;
  • To comply with the law, a legal request, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • In connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. Scan photos are not retained by us. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and deletion. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data by emailing us (see Section 11). We will delete your account data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records by law.
  • Permissions. You can revoke Camera, Motion & Fitness, and Microphone access in iOS Settings (note this will disable scanning).
  • Subscriptions. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
  • Regional rights. Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Health Disclaimer

Body-composition results (such as body-fat percentage) are estimates generated from a scan and are not medical measurements or medical advice. TheraFit is a fitness tool, not a substitute for professional medical guidance.

9. Children's Privacy

TheraFit is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

We may process and store your information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
